Gary Givens

I went to school with both of the daughters that passed away in the late 80's. I still think about these 2 girls today and this happened when I was 5. The younger girl was my age and the older girl was my sister's age. I still remember that they dedicated a big portion of the year book to these wonderful girls. Sorry for the families loss, I just wanted the family to know that their passing will be ingrained in my memory.

GARY WAS A GREAT COACH AND FRIEND AND WILL BE SORELY MISSED BY EVERYONE WHO HAD THE PRIVLEDGE OF KNOWING HIM. GOD BLESS YOU, SUE AND THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY.

I am at a loss for words regarding rhe loss of Gary. We have all lost a great man. A man that touched so many lives, and left a good impression on them.
My son was lucky enough to have Gary as a coach for 3 years. It was the most fun he ever had, playing baseball.
Gary was a great man, and influenced so many kids in a great way. He was a gift from God to so many of us, and I Thank God that we were blessed with his presence in my son and my lives.

My heart goes out to the Givens family. I have some special memories of Gary as my "first basketball coach." Coach Gary had so much patience and real love of children and basketball. I remember him with a smile.

Their are not enough words to describe the sorrow in my heart, I just know that the world will not be the same without Gary Givens! may God be with you all. Love Cuz Shelba Givens Hortman
