Nick and Matt,
I needn’t remind you that your father had a wonderful and calming spirit. I treasured every moment we spent together on the UP grouse hunts, deer camp, and the occasional get-together with Paul and Margo.

Gary was a gentle giant - quick with a smile or to lend a hand. He will be missed greatly. May his family find comfort in memories and friends. Sincerest sympathies- Quick & Roxane

What a fine man Gary was, which reflects on the family he raised. Gary had compassion, respect for others, responsibility, interest in life's teachings and was a guiding figure for so many. I'm going to miss golfing and hunting with you "Big Gar"!
You always had a great sense about you and were able to lift up the people around you, a great sense of humor also helped! I'll miss catching up on business, fishing, and boating. You were a true lover of life, controlled your own...

Gary was the most patient and compassionate uncle figure in my life. His gentle demeanor and big bear hug was such a comfort to me, and every time I saw him he'd say "Hi, hun." Gary brought so much light to my family, especially to my parents. We all loved him and raved about him when he wasn't there, and loved when he was there. He was a great listener and occasionally cracked jokes that had us all laughing.
Nick, Matt, Mrs. Gray, and the rest of the family - we are so sorry for...

Nick & Matt, I met your dad through my cousin Paul & Margo Hanna about 4 1/2 years ago, after our house burned down. Gary has had a tremendous impact on my life during these past 4 1/2 years! His tremendous gift just to calmly listen and encourage me during that very difficult time in my life was very instrumental in my ability to salvage a very important relationship with my son!! Gary’s tremendous insight, wisdom, compassion and great advice, enabled me to calm down and see things from a...

My good friend, I miss you. Nick, Matt, Dorothy, Margo and I are here for you. Know Gary would be there for me and everyone connected to his life. A true giver that helped so many. The first guy to help and the last to leave. The greatest outdoorsman. Patience, honor, integrity, dignity and amazing behavioral energy. Best friend anyone could ever have. You will always be in my duck blind and in the woods and water with me. Will talk with you often.... Paul Hanna
