Nick and Matt,
I needn’t remind you that your father had a wonderful and calming spirit. I treasured every moment we spent together on the UP grouse hunts, deer camp, and the occasional get-together with Paul and Margo.
Proverbs 17:27 “He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.”

Gary was a gentle giant - quick with a smile or to lend a hand. He will be missed greatly. May his family find comfort in memories and friends. Sincerest sympathies- Quick & Roxane

What a fine man Gary was, which reflects on the family he raised. Gary had compassion, respect for others, responsibility, interest in life's teachings and was a guiding figure for so many. I'm going to miss golfing and hunting with you "Big Gar"!

Gary was the most patient and compassionate uncle figure in my life. His gentle demeanor and big bear hug was such a comfort to me, and every time I saw him he'd say "Hi, hun." Gary brought so much light to my family, especially to my parents. We all loved him and raved about him when he wasn't there, and loved when he was there. He was a great listener and occasionally cracked jokes that had us all laughing.
