I was saddened to learn of Gomo´s passing. I knew Gomo at Continental Airlines when I was his Second Officer on many pairings. He was great to fly with! He flew the B-727 like he invented it. He was always upbeat and positive, and people just gravitated to him. To learn now for the first time from his obituary that he flew over 200 combat missions over Vietnam tells you a lot about the man; he never spoke of it. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Gary was always one of my heros, and for good reason...great guy.

My cousin Gary was my childhood hero. His childhood on Creek Road was about as idyllic as anyone could ask for. He was eight years older than me and was by far the coolest person I knew. He had the neatest little dog(dang, I wish I could remember it's name) that could do 'bout any trick there was. Gary was the first person I ever saw do acrobatic tricks on skis...I am pretty sure he was among the first around to do those things.
