Not sure what to say?

Sometimes people come into our lives for a short time, yet they are never forgotten. I was able assist Jen and Gary in a personal matter and sat with Gary for about a hour. He shared his feelings on family and manhood. At that time, I didn't know of his background yet his words were heartfelt and never taken lightly. When I did realize who he was, it was years later. Jennifer and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I am confident that he will be joining his brothers-in-arms. Bruno was waiting for him. He passed 25 October 2022. I remember fondly our time together at Fort Benning, Georgia, IOAC 1980. Bruno would wanted me to say "De Oppresso Liber."

I had the great opportunity to serve with MG Harrell when he was in 1st SFOD-D and the J-3 Directorate at JSOC from 1988-1991. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. As a young man coming up behind Gary in high school I admired him tremendously. During the time I played football I chose Gary's jersey number. I remained a big fan of Gary's service to this nation, it was truly an honor to call him my friend. God Bless you Jenny and his wonderful family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
