Not sure what to say?

I was sadden to hear of passing of Mr. Gary Hart, hearing this news late from the last remaining River Park neighbors on Caleb Ave where the Harts made their home. While baby sitting their home one summer, I was asleep and awoke at a crashing sound of someone forcing back door open, I feared what was coming into the house-----suddenly the 2 pet dogs jumped on top of the bed---I was relieved I would live another day....life is short, make the journey great!

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Gary. My brother, John Chisler, spoke of Gary often and they did fact finding trips together. My brother John passed in July 2021.

Gary was an outstanding human being and will be missed by many.

Dear Cary, We were saddened to hear of Gary's passing and our thoughts are with you and the family at this time. There is a group of us originally from Santa Monica who remember Gary most fondly from our early years up to the time when he and his family moved after Lincoln Junior High to Santa Barbara. Gary was a special standout even in his early years, each of us having our own fond memories and stories. And, of course, as soon as he got to Santa Barbara High School, he became a star...

Gary Hart personified the essence of public service. As one who spoke with him several times as an editorial writer, he was unfailingly bright, straightforward and decent. As a former teacher and history major, I was especially impressed with his commitment to making our nation's history come alive for students. Upon retirement I hoped to joined his local efforts, through Sacramento State University to do precisely that. When I learned of his terminal illness I wrote to him and received a...

Dear Cary and Hart Family, We are deeply saddened to hear about Gary´s passing. In the words of our son, Richard: "Dad I´m so sorry to hear about Gary Hart. He was a great man and had a big impact on my career". Gary took the time to always show interest in our family and our well being. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Gary with our time on the tennis court. We are truly appreciative of the mentorship Gary offered to Richard. Our deepest condolences to the Hart family for your loss....

I knew Gary from Democratic politics and from my time at Patagonia - he represented Ventura. Gary was a wonderful person. Smart, thoughtful, a delight in conversation. He was curious and respectful. He had guts - he stuck his neck out on occasion - and could be persuasive. I always felt good after speaking with him. I'm sorry for your loss.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Gary the ultimate educator and a champion for AVID. His dedication, sincerity, and generosity changed the lives of thousands. A true hero! I am humbled and honored to have known him.
