Not sure what to say?

This is such a cruel loss for Gary's family, and the world. We met in 1st grade, and enjoyed the best youth as dear friends. Although time and distance sometimes gets in the way of continuing friendships, I always followed Gary's achievements, so proud that he achieved all of his dreams. My heart goes out to all of his family, and I'm so very thankful for the times we shared. We'll meet again, dear, funny, engaging, kind, brilliant friend.

Dr Gary Heit removed my mom's gliobalastoma tumor oct 8,2004 and said he was sorry there's no hope for more then a year. I am happy to say I called his secretary and ask her to ask him if he ever saw a gbm patient still alive till 2010 and she said he said no never. I smiled and gave all glory to God! Tn 2003 at Stanford, Gary implanted a motor cortex stimulator in my brain to help with my pain of anesthesia dolorosa. Always happy, kind and caring, we became instant friends. I followed up with the neurosurgical team he built at Kaiser, led by Dr. Mark Sedrak. I kept in touch with Gary through his later years and visited him at his mountain home. I miss him very much.

Condolences, blessings, and love to the Heit family.
