Gary "Hillbilly" Wayne McDaniel

Hugs and love Linda and family. Gary's genuine happy smile and great personality will be missed. I recall my Dad (Jerry) and Uncle (Eddie) talking about their friend Hillbilly. They were always happy and had good memories when they spoke of him.

Gary was an extremely valuable member of Elk Rapids. Gary did some work for us for a few years & I really got to know him then. He was an incredible human being. I never heard Gary say no to anyone and I never heard him say a bad word about anyone else either. Always helpful and always happy go lucky. I will miss Gary for sure and Elk Rapids was better for having him as a resident.

It was an honor getting to know Gary throughout these past 18 years or so when he would visit Cheryl Dave and the girls. He would need to keep busy and loved to watch the girls in whatever activity the were doing at the time. He will be missed by all.
He was blessed to be surrounded by family as it was an important aspext of his life.

Hillbilly was a friend to everyone he met. He was full of fun and enjoyed his friends and family, and was there to help anyone in need. Rest in Peace, dear friend.

Hillbilly was a great man. I loved playing euchre w/Gary, Linda & Carl we had fun & he was funny. Gary played baseball w/my brother Dick Johnson. My brother introduce Hillbilly & Linda at a baseball game, they got together after that, what a match made in heaven, great couple Gary will be missed.
