Not sure what to say?

I met Gary at Penn State , we became great friends along with Don Slogan . Gary and I did tours in Vietnam and when I got home I asked Gary to be my best man when Dana and I got married ! Even though we lost touch his friendship and memories never faded , his loss was heart breaking . Rest in peace old friend !!!

Dear Hirsch Family I am deeply saddened with the news of Garys passing. But I am saddened also that Gary & I lost track of each other over the years. We went to Penn State together, were born on the same day,in Vietnam at same time,& in 1969 Gary was Best Man in Dana & my wedding!! Sounds like Gary only got better with age!Our sincere sympathy!!

Lauren & family,

Condolences to you on your beloved's passing. Gary was a good man who loved you very much. Many good memories of working at Koppers Company. May God give you strength and peace.

Those who knew Gary are likely to be better because of it.

A very good person who will be greatly missed.

Blessed to have known and share a glimpse of Gary's life growing up at SS and BHS. May God's grace bring comfort to your family and friends as you honor, cherish and treasure his courageous strength and loving spirit.

Went to school with Gary.......one of the good ones..Enjoy the VICTORY!

My condolences to the Hirsch family. I got to know Gary through our shared interest in the operations of the South Fayette School District. I found Gary to be a sincere, thoughtful person who was not afraid to speak his mind. But he always did so in a respectful manner. His contributions to the South Fayette community are significant and very much appreciated. Rest in Peace, Gary.
