Gary Ray Hunt, born August 13, 1941, in Burlington, Kansas went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2024, at the age of 82. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Florine Hunt; son, Gary Ray Hunt Jr.; and sister, Carla Jo Thorne.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia G. Gonzales and husband Ruben, Tammie Cota and husband Phillip, Toni Kutzur and husband Mike; son, Jody Hunt; brother, Steven Hunt; grandchildren, Ruben E. Gonzales and wife Tina, Michael Gonzales and wife Suann, Mathew Rodriguez and wife Tiki, Jenni Vargas and wife Jennifer, Chris Cota and wife Yuki, Trey Cota, Desiree Madkins, Victoria Saleh and husband Moose, Ebonie Gonzales, Cody Hunt, Coby Kutzur, Barron Hunt, Jessica Hunt, Breanne Hunt; great grandchildren, Zaiden, Zion Gonzales, Elijah, Logan Rodriguez, Aubree Foy, Bentley and Aston Cota, Derek, David, Dom, Justin Nguyen, Kirstan and Alexis Olivo ; and new baby to come Dányál Saleh; extended family and friends.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, his presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
Family and friends will meet at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, July 5, 2024, for a 9:45 AM committal service in shelter #5.
