We were shipmates in the Naval Reserve.

Barb,
I just heard of Gary's promotion a few minutes ago and want you to know how much I loved and respected him, as a peer and also as a personal friend.

We had many many times together during our Allstate careers and we emailed from time to time following our move to Ireland in 2008.

Perhaps what the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:13 to those who trusted in Jesus will encourage you . . .

"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant...

I was deeply saddened to hear of Gary's passing. I was a shipmate in the Naval Reserve with him for many years and I highly respected him for all his great attributes. He will be missed. CAPT W. Gary Johnson

I have the fondest memories of Gary. We grew up together in Mt. Vernon, graduated from MVHS in 1964 and we both entered the Navy at the same time.
During those years, I had the pleasure of knowing his entire family, spending time in their home, on Comano Island, and smelt raking,etc.
While we could not attend the services, we were with Gary, his family and friends.

I had the great pleasure of working with Gary Iverson at Allstate. So sorry to hear of his passing to a man with so much young energy and passion.
