I worked with Gary at a Diablo Canyon when I was about 17. We were on the same Crew. He was a lot of fun to be around, bigger than life, great stories and a good union man. He always had a good joke and really understood the benefit of finding a little humor even during hard work. Even though I was just a kid he always treated me good and helped me to learn the ropes in construction. Im glad I got to know him and some of his family. Every one of the Lathrops Ive ever met are solid people....

Ron has regaled me with many stories of his and Gary's adventures. From hay hauling to fishing and working together.
