O'Brien Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services - South Hadley Obituary

Gary Lefebvre,66, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, unexpectedly passed into eternal life on Saturday September 28th, at Baystate medical center. He was the son of the late John and Irene Lefebvre. He leaves his beloved wife, Nancy as well as his children, Gary and Nicole, his step-children Ryan and Haley; his grandchildren Savannah, Nathan, and Annabelle; his great grandchildren Josiah and Kayson. He will also be sadly missed by his siblings Paul, Christine, and Cherie. Along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Early in his career, Gary was employed as an Assistant Manager at Shop Rite for many years. Later, Gary was employed at J. Polep as a purchasing agent prior to enjoying entrepreneurship as an owner and operator of a local eatery in Chicopee. He was also a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed traveling with his brother and father near and far; enjoying their love for racing. Of all the sports Gary participated in, playing hockey was his go to! He will be surely remembered for his quick wit and humor. Our family is truly  heartbroken at his tragic unexpected passing and will forever honor his memory. Services will be held at O'Brien Family Funeral Home on Saturday October 5th from 12pm-2pm. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dakin Humane Society or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
