Dear Neil, Darcy and Jeff, Maddy and I send our deepest sympathy. Maddy and I visited Gary and then Fiance Terri, just a couple of years ago while visiting Maddy's brother in Scottsdale. We just surprised him with an unannounced visit while in the neighborhood. It was so great seeing him after all that time. He was quite shocked as you could imagine. We hadn't seen much of Gary as of late, but based on the heartfelt words written by so many of his friends, he was indeed living a full and wonderful life. We know Terri brought him endless joy. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Always growing and evolving to our needs, the love of family is such a special thing. I have only met Gary on a couple of occasions but the love he shared with his family is very evident in his sister, Darcy. I have known Darcy for over 20 years and it has always made me happy to hear her speak of her family as you could actually see the love of family in her eyes as she spoke. Gary was an exceptional, wonderful, caring person. He had such a big heart & we are lucky to have his friendship & love. He was truly an amazing man who was special & loving & it is such a great loss for us all. Our heart aches for the loss of such a wonderful man!

We were freshmen at CCHS, when Gary was a senior. It was such a small school, everyone knew everyone.
Dan remembers fondly playing in "pick-up" games, during the long Midwest winters.
