The Reverend Gary Ray Lyerly

We were so sadden to hear about Pastor. Jokingly we said that Dottie was probably waiting for him at the pearly gates saying, "Well Gary, what took you so long?" Such a wonderful man who married Laura and me. We would stop with the kids and visit him and Dottie on our way to the beach each year. He will be missed just as we still miss Dottie! My husband and I were the last couple he ever married at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Johnson City , TN . I have such fond memories of him and Dottie and Corey and Carla . Pastor Lyerly was our pastor at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Johnson City, Tennessee. My late husband loved him and so did I. He was always smiling and I enjoyed his North Carolina brogue. His sermons were good and he radiated joy. I'm sorry to read of Dottie's passing also. May God comfort you with many good memories! Rita F. Schuettler
