Not sure what to say?

Gary, As you can tell by the number of people that showed to pay their respects and say goodbye to you that you are a very loved and respected man. I will miss stopping by to see you and our talks. Thank you for giving so much of yourself and putting up with so much from me! You are a great man!

Gary lived an artistic life in every way. With his music and through ceramic arts he tended to every detail to make it as perfect as he could. He did that with his relationships also. I knew him most in High School but my wife enjoyed his talents as an instructor and we both know and feel this loss. In deep gratitude of a life well lived. We wish you well Gary.

God Bless

Gary,I have always known that you were a kind, caring, compassionate man,and am honored to have called you my friend. So unselfish, always concerned about everyone else. Thank you for being such an amazing example to us all, through each and every medical trial, you encountered. I will miss you.

Gary, an incredible man of strength, tenacity and compassion to beat the odds. Thanks for letting me give you a helping hand in time of need. You will forever be in memory.

Gary, I will miss you forever. I will never forget the wonderful times we enjoyed together. You are truly one of a kind, a beautiful soul, always a man of integrity. God Bless you and your family.

Gary, though it has been many years since we have seen each other, I still have very found memories. You were always there for me to talk to; you were a very good listener and a dear friend. I enjoyed the many hours we all spent lounging around on the sail boats at Yosemite Lake, those were good times… God is sure getting a great bass player! I can’t wait to see you again.

We would like to honor Gary's memory by establishing a scholorship in his name through Merced College Foundation. Gary loved his work of 32 years, and especially his students. With this scholorship his love for the Arts will be carried on for years to come. We ask in lieu of flowers or plants that your donations be made to Merced College Foundation, Gary Mackenzie scholorship fund, 3600 "M" St. Merced, Ca. 95348
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to Gary's family. I am proud to call you my friend Gary! You are one in a million. To all the great times and see you at the next gonzo party in heaven. Love, John
