Dear Mackey Family. So very sorry for the passing of your husband (father).The one word I can describe from being a neighbor and getting to know Gary is(CHILL) that is the kind of man he was easy going.Gary would help us plow the end of our driveway during some snow storms we were so appreciative of that. Chief Mackey was one of a kind! He was my first chief of my career & he´ll always hold a special place in my heart. He would call me one of his "Charlie´s Angels", and now he´s an angel himself looking down over all of us. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to the family & friends of Gary. God Bless.

You do not know me. My husband Tom was a friend of Gary's from the 109th. I met Gary a couple of times thru the years and heard his name a multitude of times. It was "Mackey" this and "Mackey" that.
