Not sure what to say?

I always considered Gary my HP dad. He was my manager many years ago and always supportive and straight forward with me. Like his son said during Gary's service he was a “Straight Shooter” Even though I did not work with Gary as close as before we did talk and he was always caring and wanted to know how you were doing.
There are so many fun travel memories that I had with Gary. Waking up to cans on my lap while on a train, to taking photos with not so nice paper wanted mannequins in...

I worked with Gary at HP. He was a great, kind and wonderful man and happy all time.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Gary is with you and not far...

My condolences are sent to the Madsen family. Gary sat next to me at HP when I worked there; he was a good guy with a good sense of humor.
His daughter watched my puppy during the 2002 Olympics and he and his family were good neighbors.
My sympathy goes out to all of you.

Gayle Walsh-George

I worked for and with Gary at HP. He was a great guy, who knew how to make you feel at ease. I'm shocked, disturbed and deeply saddened over his passing. So many good stories--I remember going skeet shooting up Bogus Basin road with Gary and Dave Payne. What a great sense of humor he had! Gary was a good man, and I will miss him. My deepest sympathies to his wonderful family. May God bless you all.

Gary, your influence is way beyond at HP Boise, ten thousand miles away- here in Shanghai HP, there are group of people miss you, even some of us never met you in person, but your voice, your laugher, your help deeply touch us. We took a photo with your wonderful slide to honor you and will send card to your family, we just want to let family know, you are respected, we all are so proud of you!

So sad that such a good man is gone far too soon. Gary was a great partner and good friend in all the years I worked with him, and his integrity, resourcefulness, and persistence were models to us all. I am sorry that I will be out of town for his service, but I will be thinking of him on Friday.

Gary was my best friend and study partner at USU for three years. His attention to detail and organized reasoning skills helped me tremendously as I also graduated with him with a BSME degree in 1982. Earning that degree was the most difficult achievement of my life, and Gary made it easier in a big way. His sense of humor was legendary with the Lamborn clan, and I was a delighted first-hand witness to same. He will be missed. Warm regards to you, Jackie.

Jackie,
We are so sad to hear of Gary's passing. I will never hear his name that a smile doesn't come to my face. With his passing to the other side, a huge void in this world has been created. Think of the stories he is telling now. We always thought one day we would reconnect . Having not, is mine and my whole families loss. Are prayers are with you and your family.

Gary positively touched the lives of so many people at HP and I was one of the fortunate ones to have known him. His face and smile will always be in my memories and heart. I loved passing by his desk and seeing him smile and wave at me if he was on the phone...which he was most of the time. I am really going to miss him and his energy, but I am so thankful to have known him. I pray for comfort for all who lost such a wonderful person.
