Gary was my Uncle. I live close and saw him every few months. Music was his life passion. His last Kitchen Kutups was in July 2017 and he was so proud he could still hit an A in his solo. He was very smart and very funny. I am planning his Life Celebration for May 20 at Rohnert Park Community Center. There will be a Gary Mathews Memorial Concert, free to his friends at 2pm. It will be followed by a Life Tribute and a late lunch where people can share memories. All who knew him are...

So sorry to hear of Mr. Mathews' passing. He taught me not only to play the flute, but to keep practicing until I got the part right. He was always so kind and caring, a wonderful man to have as a teacher. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to see that Mr Mathews has passed away. He was a wonderful teacher and a very sweet man. I want to say that my eldest son was in Mr Mathews band class. Mr Mathews was also a chiropractor. I was one of his patients.
