Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of playing in the neighborhood with Gary, Brian J., Eddie S. and Cindy T. As we grew and our interests changed, we all remained friends throughout our school years. As adults we both had a great friend in Ed Mondry. We've lost Cindy, Ed and now Gary, taken from us way too soon. Sweet memories of childhood comfort me. I pray that Gary's family will be comforted by their many years of happy memories. God Speed Gary, until we meet again!

I am so sorry to learn that Gary Mathia has passed away. I lost my only brother back on November 25, 2010. I will keep your family in my prayers. Sincerely, Suzanne Mondry

Gary sat behind me in 6th grade. Mrs. Hubbard's class. He left an impression. He was kind, soft spoken, encouraging and a good friend to me. I've thought of him often over the years. I wish I'd told him how important he was to me. I hope he knew. I can see that he left something good in many lives. God speed my good friend. I carry you with me.

Gary was one of my first friends when we moved to Round Lake Beach. I remember Gary played Santa in the 3rd grade program. He was always smiling & jolly. Prayers to his family.

So sorry to hear of this. Gary worked with my late husband Gary Spears. Thoughts and prayers to you and your families.

A life long friend- we had good times we bad, we had up and downs, and just as family we had the same, no different. I feel I lost a brother.

We grew up together and as we grew we went our paths in life but always game back to that point of conversations about the old times and growing up.

No matter what happens in life you hopefully can rely on the memories in past. Some you learn from and some you cherish.

Say hi to mom and dad!

So long friend
Brian

So sorry to hear that Gary passed away.I only knew Gary in high school. But what I do remember was him standing up for me one day.Even though I was an underclassman.Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Gary was my brother-in-law way back when.. my family llived next door to him and his family in his high school years.. he was a big part of my childhood and family.. the memories have come flooding back..though I was young he was always good to me. I spoke with him not too long ago. And I am glad I got that chance after so many years....I as well as my family are so sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with everyone he loved and who loved him...... past or present.
