In 1990 I searched for a priest who would bless my marriage to my second husband. Gary was recommended. He said he would do it if my fiancé and I attended his masses at The Church of the Four Winds. As a social worker who worked in hospice with AIDS patients, I saw that this was another of his ministry's along with feeding the hungry, visiting prisoners, and many others who were in need of a guiding and generous hand. Gary McInnis is truly the most amazing man I ever met. The gifts God gave him always seemed boundless. His beautiful voice and his incredible, all-accepting presence and charisma brought so, so many closer to Jesus.
Gary was always so humble about his countless accomplishments as a man and as a priest. He never cared about taking credit for his extraordinary gifts to the world. But then, what Saints do?

Father Gary married my husband and I. Several people afterwards commented on what a wonderful ceremony it was. He will be missed.
