Gary Ronald Metzger

Gary Ronald Metzger passed away Monday, October 23, 2023. Raised in Mason, TX, Gary "Ronnie" Metzger enlisted in the US Navy at the age of 18 to see the world... only to be stationed four hours away in Corpus Cristi. During the Korean War, Gary was responsible for the repair and maintenance of aircraft used by pilots in training. After the war, Gary saw much of the country and worked many jobs including mechanic, bartender, caterer, lineman, and electrical engineer. He was an avid outdoorsman and mountain man - a hunter, fisherman, and talented nature photographer. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 42 years, Diane Metzger (1954-2022), and a loving father to his son, Max Metzger.

Services:   Memorial service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
