Not sure what to say?

I will miss my friend so very much. I have heard from many of our former students and their families. Their comments would have made him very happy to know he had left a living legacy.

I am saddened to hear of Gary's passing. I had the privilege of working with him at Wilbur MS. He was dedicated to his students and their excellence. May he rest in peace knowing he had a positive impact on so many lives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all

Gary was such a caring and wonderful man. He loved his students and his job. Praying for his family.

I very much valued Gary's friendship and professionalism as a collegue at Wilbur Middle School.. His candor, humor, honesty, and intellectualism were all traits so appreciated and enjoyed.

I had the great pleasure of working with Gary for 22 years at Wilbur MS. Most of those years, we shared an office. He was dedicated to helping students experience success. He had a soft and generous side that he usually kept hidden from others; doing kind deeds unknown to most. His legacy of excellence at Wilbur will live on, as will his investment in his students.

I had the good fortune of working with Gary a number of years ago and found both his candor and honesty refreshing. My condolences are extended to his family.

Mr. Mitchell was a wonderful man. He was my daughter's Academic League coach, and he was like a second dad to her. I appreciated his mentoring of her during those middle school years. He will be greatly missed.
