Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to read about Gary's passing. Growing up with Brian, I had no older brothers so Gary and Mert Jr. stepped in. I have fond memories of Gary taking us fishing and swimming in that large mid fifties Buick. The Mock house and Sanford Street School playground seemed to be the most active places in the neighborhood. Marjorie, Brian and Barb, Mert Jr., and families, please accept the condolences of the Ashton family. Our prayers are with you.

Marge, I am sorry to hear you lost Gary. We haven't seen each other in a while but I immediately thought of all the things you talked about doing together. You shared such a wonderful life, there's never a good time to leave and it's never long enough. Best wishes to your family in this difficult time.

Marge - so sorry to read of Gary’s passing. My thoughts are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. I was 18 when I worked with Gary at Hannaford and although I changed my career I would visit from time to time. Gary was a very kind man. My thoughts and prayers go out to Gary’s family. We all thought the world of him, truly a gentle being.

I was very sorry to read about Gary. I can still remember all of us playing at Sanford Street playground. What happy days! I was more saddened to learn that he was battling Alzheimer disease. My mom has been battling the disease for over 20 years and is still alive at almost 99. I'm in Colorado so I won't be able to pay my respects. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Marge-so sorry to hear of Gary´s passing. He was such a great guy! Thinking of you.

Brian and Barb, it’s been a LONG time since we’ve been in contact. I was sad to read that Gary had died. His/your dad, Mert, and my dad, Carl Lyford, were good friends when they were younger and my dad use to hang out at Mert’s house. I wish Gary Godspeed and I hope that his family remembers the good times. And I hope that you two are doing well. Next time I’m home, I’ll come find you two. Best wishes to all and be well. If you’re so inclined, Brian, shoot me an email...

So sorry for your huge loss. Prayers for Marge and family.

My deepest regrets go out to you and your family for the loss of your husband Gary. May all your fond memories of him remain in your heart forever as I'm sure there are many. I can remember when you & Gary first started dating and our friendship that developed in High School. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time.
