Gary Allen Morris

MORRIS, Gary Allen - Of Flint, age 84, died Sunday, March 20, 2022. Gary was born in Flint, Michigan on October 19, 1937, the son of the late Wayne and Florence (McLean) Morris. He grew up with 3 older brothers, Charlie, Luke and Tom, playing baseball and basketball, first at Bassett Park and then at Northern High School and Flint Community Junior College. After college he began a 30 year career with GM at AC Spark Plug and on December 9, 1961 he married Eunice Irene Sanford at a church ceremony in Davison. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and continued to enjoy sharing his love of sports throughout his lifetime. In retirement he was happiest travelling with Eunice especially to Jekyll Island in Georgia, spending afternoons on the golf course or watching his grandchildren participate in their school sports. Surviving are 2 children, Lori (Tim) Hausbeck and Gary Morris II; grandchildren, Emma and Tate Hausbeck, Sophia and Nolan Morris; brother, Luke Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice.
