Not sure what to say?

I am in shock, as I just read this today, April 16, 2011. I remember Gary so well- he was my first love and fiance. I met him when he was 21 and I was 17, in 1979. He was at NLU and i was still in high school. We dated for three years and then became engaged and I moved to Milwaukee. Gary had not found his place, nor had I, and I returned to Louisiana after about a year and a half. We spoke several times after that- after his divorce and then before he remarried. Cindy, I heard ( from...

I was good friends with Gary in college as we were baseball teammates at Northeast Louisiana for two years. He was a
very fun and likeable guy. He also had a nasty curveball that no
one could hit. Surprising he wasn't drafted as he could have pitched
in the big leagues. Sorry this is so late as we lost touch over the years
but I never will forget all the good times we had. We'll see you in
heaven!

I met Gary in 1984 at a softball tournament and although I was 10 years older than Gary we became instant friends. We were both athletes who couldn't get enough of sports. We played golf whenever we could, when we should have been working, played softball tournaments and leagues together, basketball leauges, football, I tought Gary how to bowl and he tossed a 300 game, we watched the fights, Hagler still beat Leonard, played poker, went to Brewer games, played bar dice at Aliota's and partied...

I brought this man into the world of Wealth & Country Clubs where he belonged. I taught him the meaning of "Class." Miss you Bro!

I was shocked to hear of Gary's Passing. He was a rare breed who was nice to everybody. My heart goes out to his family. Sorry for the late reply I didnt know

I will always remember Gary from High School. He was the kind of person that had this aura about him that stood out from the rest of the crowd. I was always a very shy person in school and never got involved much, but I remember Gary in Art class and that is where I got to know him the best. He was always nice to me and had the warmest smile.
My heart fell into my stomach when I learned of his passing. He will be missed greatly. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.

It is tragic that we we have to leave this human experience at all. It is especially hard to see Gary, one who has touched so many, leave us earlier than we would hope. My condolences to all of Gary's family and friends.
I want to share some of the lasting impressions that Gary made in my life:
On a warm Spring day in 1968, on a baseball field at Lake Bluff Elementary School, I remember a new kid showing up at recess. He was tall and strong and we would find out that he was talented...

For most of the 8th grade I lived in fear of Gary Morrison. I can't remember exactly what it was that I did that offended him but he swore that he was going to have his revenge and I spent most of the school year and the entire summer doing my utmost to avoid him. Then, luckily for me, by the time we got to High School, he and my brother David became friends and the promised beating was called off or forgotten. Gary then became not only a regular fixture of my school life, but my home life...
