Not sure what to say?

Rennye and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you all at this difficult time. May God give you his peace. ❤

Our sincerest condolences and so sorry we could not attend. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers. sincerely,Cindy and Del McFadzen

To the Ness family, wishing you peace and comfort. I am thankful for my fond memories of “Uncle Gary,” especially those at Hermit Island, and know he will be missed by many.

I've started to write this and given up at least a dozen times. I can't find the words, but the memories of all the fun times with Gary are sure flowing. Sometimes he was a bratty older brother, bestowing great nicknames like "Drools". Sometimes he was a partner in crime at Hammonasset or Walther League retreats. But always, he led with his heart. Gary, you're with the ultimate Leader of the Band. Rest easy friend.

David, Linda , Rennye, and family, I was so sorry to hear this sad news. Gary was a customer of mine at Stop n Shop and whenever he came into the store he always stopped to say hi . He and Rennye would always walk with his mom down our road . He was a good neighbor and I will miss seeing him working out on the yard. I hope all the good memories help you get through this difficult time. Our deepest sympathy ,Wendy and John Manciagli

OK, we're left with passing words when this vehicle of condolences is FAR short of what's needed. A beer in the back yard, a 10pm one-on-one basketball game under the lights in the the Ness back yard. (I don't think Gary beat me once in 15 years as sports wasn't his thing) So many board games in the Ness breezeway. Viewing an immaculate yard at 501. Memories of all the assistance he gave to my parents and the families in the hood on Paddock. Skating on McAtiers pond, fishing on the run-off...

Dear Rennye, Dave, Linda and your families,
Words can't describe what losing Gary means. He was another big brother. He took such good care of elderly neighbors in addition to your mom - especially my parents. I can see my dad greeting him with a "hey Bud" when he gets to Heaven. My childhood would never have been as much fun without his imagination. Only Gary could have me use an entire deck (or 2) of cards and most of my mom's cloths pins on the spokes of my bike to make noise....

Rennye and Gary’s family,
Condolences to you both on the loss of Gary. He certainly had a kind and gentle soul. I have fond memories of Walter League and St. John. He will be missed by many. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Deb Martin xxoo
