Not sure what to say?

Gary was one of my most admired professors during my General Surgery training at Hershey Medical Center. He had great enthusiasm, tremendous expertise, and a bedside manner we should all aspire to. Our prayers are with you.

My sympathies to the immediate family.

Dear Nicholas Family, we are very sorry to hear of your great loss. Gary was a valued volunteer for Communities In Schools. He tutored and mentored students in our dropout prevention program. He will be sadly missed. Our students are fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him. Very Sincerely, Shalynda Morton and the Communities In Schools Family.

Dorothy and family - I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I know that my Mom and Dad had only kind things to say about him. I will keep your family in my prayers. Lisa Chesnick (daughter of the late Frank (Ifky) and Terry Ifkovits)

Dorothy:
It's been many years and I'm sorry that you lost your partner of many years,it is ashame to lose a loved one. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

I was fortunate to return to the Lehigh Valley to do my residency and practice Family Medicine. It was a delight...

Jon, David, Heather and Mrs. Nicholas may i extend my heart felt sympathy and prayers for your loss.. your friend always, M

I trained at PSU when Gary was the only vascular surgeon there. The influence he had on my career can not be emphasized. His commitment to excellence in patient care and to his trainees will always be remembered. I continued to see him at national meetings and enjoyed a chance to chat with him again. He will be missed by many of us.

Many of us here today have had the honor of being a student of my father. I assure you it was an even bigger honor to be one of his children, and bigger still to be his only daughter. I would like to share a few of those lessons with you.

Learning to swim, my father taught all of us how to swim, I remember so clearly how he taught me at the Plaza in Hershey - first holding onto the edge of the pool with my face in the water, he would say bubble bubble breathe…then we added the...
