Gary Scott Olson

I was saddened recently learning that my dear friend and mentor,Dr. Gary Olsen had passed away. I met Gary as a young school administrator who became active on a local level with ACSA. Our professional collaboration grew into a personal relationship over time. I became more active in ACSA and was also honored to be asked by Gary to join the Pt. As a parent volunteer when Gary was superintendent of VUSD, I spent many hours with Gary working on various committees. He was the best. He loved the students and was always trying to get the most for them. He was missed when he left the district and will be missed now that he has left us.
