Not sure what to say?

I was very sad to read Gary's obituary in the Rockland Journal News. I was Gary's third grade teacher at the West Nyack Elementary School. Even at that young age, he had a good sense of humor, and he was a good student. We connected on Facebook about two years ago, which was fun. My sincerest sympathy goes out to his whole family.

My deepest sympathies to Gary's family. I knew Gary through my husband, Bob Adler and he always talked fondly of Gary and had some great stories during the time they lived in Eugene. Sadly I understand your pain and loss as my husband Robert (Bob) died suddenly at our home Friday, July 7th. I am so sorry for your loss. Gary's passing would have been a big blow to Robert.

A warm & welcoming soul! Our acquaintance was short but memorable. Big hugs to Penny Rest In Peace.

Gary, we laughed and listened to Leonard Cohen; you drove us from Rockland back to Brooklyn nearly ever Sunday night or came to eat spaghetti dinners while we listened to music. Years and miles later I found you again, surprised to learn we both lived in Berkeley at the same time without ever running into each other. So glad to have re-established a valuable connection after so may years apart as if it were yesterday. You are already missed by so many who loved you and your laugh!

Rest in peace Gary.

We worked together in the 70s. He had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. I will always remember "the wasted potato."

Rest in peace Gary, you are in God's hands now, no more suffering, just dancing in heaven with your pets and family that have passed before you. Penny loved you so much, you were so blessed to have such an amazing life.
Until we meet again.....

Met Gary in Nyack, NY (1965?). Friendly with a ready smile; well liked & respected; lively discussions about music. My prayers are with his family and friends.
