GARY E. PEDERSEN, age 62. Beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee Zupancic); father of Nicole Moses (Joseph) and soon-to-be grandfather; son of the late Mildred (nee Helleand) and Chris Pedersen; brother of Ken (deceased) (Arlene), Janet Rutkowski (Arnie), Marilyn Ostovits (Bob, deceased) and Richard (Mary); uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Navy veteran, retired Chief Hospital Corpsman. Passed away suddenly October 13, 2017. Funeral Mass Thursday, October 19, St. Adalbert Church (Berea) at 10 A.M. Interment Woodvale Cemetery. Gary and I were stationed together while attached to 2nd Bn, 3rd Mar Div in Kaneohe (1976-1978). I'm sad to hear of his passing; my heartfelt condolences to Gary's family.

I remember Gary as HM2 Pedersen back in 1979 when he was part of our LSU Hotel Medical Section in Hawaii (Kaneohe Marine Base), and USS Tarawa.
