Not sure what to say?

I was so saddened to read about Gary's death. He always amazed me with his commitment to living a life fully despite his challenges. Whenever I thought of Silver Lake, I thought of Gary. I have missed being able to check
in on him since we sold our cottage. GOD BLESS EA OF YOU Love Linda (Schaner)

The family of Vern Peterson is forever blessed by our times spent in the cabin at Silver Lake that Gary so generously shared with us..... Such precious, fun memories are treasured and appreciated. I know that Gary is free indeed and overwhelming joy to be with our Lord and Savior, Maryann, Vern and many others. Gary will be truly missed but his legacy and kindness continues in our hearts. One day we'll meet again. - - Meyrick Peterson

While the relationship is "friend", it really is family. For many years Gary and MaryAnn were like my second parents and were always there when I needed them. I fondly remember family get togethers and camping trips and celebrating various life events with them, Tina, and Scott. So many wonderful memories... may yours comfort you as you mourn his loss and celebrate his life.

On behalf of Gary's fellow Flint Northern Class of 1961 Classmates, we offer his family our deepest sympathy. Our prayers are with you in your loss.

It is with our deepest condolences and sympathy on your loss. Gary loved to volunteer for the SLSD Chamber of Commerce visitor center & the SLSD Apple & BBQ Festival. He will be missed by all.

Dear Peterson family. I was blessed to meet and know your parents at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Flushing. They saved our youth group from extinction. MaryAnn and Gary were God's angels. They breathed life, hope, joy and prayers back into the teenagers. I adored them as did my family. They loved each other so much and showed their love to everyone. You kids cannot appreciate how delightful that was in that old folks German church. Although not a close friend, I have been blessed to hear...
