Gary William Phipps

He was a older cousin but when we were much younger he would take time for me as I was next to the youngest cousin. Loved him and miss his humor, he was a lot like his dad with his humor and laugh.

Gary and I grew up together in Mattoon, Illinois. While working at a Drug Store in his High School years, he bought a car and often would give me a ride. Later I knew him in Atlanta as we both resided there but worked at different Companies. A great guy!

It was so nice to see you girls at Gary's burial service. While I have so many happy memories of both Gary and Liz I'm forever grateful to Gary for introducing me to appletinis! Love, Elaine Vitt

Always easy to talk to and had great stories, many made you laugh. One time he told us that he had been in a meeting with his peers and someone gave a presentation. They asked for comments, everyone droned on, when it came to Gary, he said,"interesting". Drove them crazy, because he wouldn't say more.

While Gary was in the Atlanta area, A number of AT&T friends rented 2 houseboats to sail on Lake Lanier during a labor day week end. We beached the boats on a remote sandy area and proceeded to just hang out with our various children. We had a rule that everyone adhered to. "no discussing work!"
