Mr. Gary Howard Pike

Mr. Gary Howard Pike, age 70, of Martin, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his home. Born June 7, 1947 in Dansville, NY, he was a son of the late Nelson O. and Oramae Chasey Pike and had lived in Martin, GA since 1989. He was of the Methodist Faith and was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in Vietnam. Gary was a member of the Lavonia Moose Lodge, the DAV, and was ASA certified Heavy Equipment Technician, certified welder, air craft and sheet metal mechanic, and asphalt race car builder and mechanic. He loved helping others in need, nature, hunting and fishing, racing until his health prevented him from participating, and good country music. Family members include his daughter and son-in-law, Stacy Pike Halder and Lance of Carnesville; his son, Rodney Pike of Wilmington, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy Pike and Gloria, Lynn Pike and Jaqueline, and David Pike and Ruth; granddaughters, Sydney Pike and Claire Halder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Carroll Harrison Pike. No services will be held in Toccoa. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon, GA. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
