May you canoe calm waters. Rest in peace fellow canoeist.

Gary and his wife Regina were my classmates at Jordan-Elbridge HS, and the laughter of both remains instilled in my memory. Gary´s passing is surely a source of great sadness to many, regardless of the health challenges he faced late in life. I want to extend sincere condolences to Regina, Gary´s family and his many friends whose lives he graced by his smile and the kindness behind it.

I am very saddened to learn of Gary's passing. Although I haven't seen him for a very long time, I have always considered him one of my best friends. We were next door neighbors in the '50's, and we did everything together, and I have often thought of him over the years. Gary always had a smile on his face and was full of life. We had so much fun together in those endless Elbridge summers. Please accept my sincere condolences. May he rest in peace.

Gary was a great friend. He was a gifted craftsman and a interesting person to talk to. He was famous in the canoe racing world for his witty one liner´s. They were hilarious. I will miss him and never find a better canoeing partner. Rest In Peace friend.
