Not sure what to say?

So very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. We were close friends in middle school and high school in our hometown of St. Johnsbury, VT. He was a charming, funny, smart, athletic young man who was voted most likely to succeed by our Senior class in 1961. Succeed in life he did with a very successful Air Force career (something else we shared) and later as an inspired educator. Gary will be greatly missed in our lives but he has left an enduring legacy. May he rest in peace...

Gary was a great guy who was highly respected . I was a classmate of Gary's at the Air Force Academy. He was the epitome of what the Academy was designed to produce. He was truly a man to be admired.

We wish God's blessings on Gary's family during this difficult time.

a great guy who will be missed, i've always enjoyed talking with him and serving with him on council at First Lutheran church.

One of the Best Math teachers I ever had, his loss is a great one to the SMCC community.

Thank you for your service.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

When I walked into my Algebra class at the age of 45 my eyes welted up, I thought I saw a ghost because Mr Potter looked exactly like my father who had recenly passed. I always wanted to tell him that but never did. I knew at that moment I would be fine. Mr Potter was a guinine soul who got me through this class and did not give up. He had a tough exterior but the biggest heart. He really cared about his students. He was a gem and anyone who had him in their lives were very lucky.
