Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to read that the best doctor i ever have had is gone. It was a priviledge to have had his care. A bunch of us cried when we learned he was leaving Providence hospital.
Forever grateful for his care

Dr. Prohaska is a hero of mine. I picked him as my GYN from the phone book, because his office was near my first apartment in Portland. I discovered a gentle and kind man with a wonderful practice: he saw me clothed in his office before and after the examination; and he sent his patients for baseline mammograms at 35.
Mine revealed a very early cancer in the works, and so he saved my life32 years ago.
What a privilege to have been his patient.

I worked with Dr. Prohaska for several years. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful physician, and an amazing teacher. He was quick witted and quirky and admired by all who knew him. He taught me a great deal. My sincere condolences to his family and to Maryann.

Dr Prohaska was my Obgyn through two of my pregnancys. He was my favorite doctor! He was very kind & caring & devoted to his patients. To his family I am very sorry for your loss.

A wonderful doctor that I have never forgotten. He was the best. My sister started seeing him and we went to no one else until he moved out of state.
So kind, gentle and patient. I'm so sorry for your loss. A few years ago I was standing outside of my work and walking down the street of downtown Portland was Dr. Prohaska. I new it the minute I saw him. I ran across the street to say hello and to thank him again for being a fantastic doctor. Never found another one like him. ...

Dr. Prohaska was compassionate and caring, one of the best doctors I have ever known. He was admirable for his progressive views and kindness. His stance on Women's Rights and Planned Parenthood helped many. When I could not conceive he assured me that adoption would be wonderful, in which it was. My sympathy to his family.

Dear Heather and Holly,
We are so sorry for your loss. Gary was a
brave man working for Planned Parenthood in
these days. We personally remember many good times with the Prohaskas- lots of laughs and great parties.
We know that he was wonderful dad-we still remember him making you girls a doll house one Christmas. Love, Harry and Karen.

Dr. Prohaska was my obgyn for many years starting in the 70's. He delivered both of my children and in 1990 I was his twelfth patient to receive a hysterectomy via a laparoscopic procedure. At that time Laparoscopy was a new procedure but I told everyone I could not be in better hands. There are not enough kind adjectives to describe your father. I have thought about him many times over the years. He had an awesome antique desk in his office that I admired. Please accept my sincere...
