Gary Oliver Ragan Sr. passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 72.  He was born on June 23, 1953, in Dyess, Arkansas, to J.P. and Sarah Gregg Ragan. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Johnny E. Ragan and David Ragan, six sisters Libby Ragan, Joyce Catt, Susie Ragan, Pat Champion, Debbie Ragan and Becky Gibson. Gary is survived by one son Gary Oliver Ragan Jr. (Dana) of Osceola, Arkansas, two daughters Stephanie Turner (Thomas “Krack” Beatty) of Monette, Arkansas and Melody Turner (Eldon “Booney”) of Caraway, Arkansas, nine grandchildren Chelsie Ragan, Todd Smith, Megan Beatty, Taylor Turner, Blake Turner, Whitley Turner, Hunter Ragan and two special granddaughters, nine great grandchildren, mother of his children Sherri Ragan, some very special friends Jim and Kim Pettit, William and Sue Faulkner, Jerry and Paula Elrod and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 9:00a.m. until service time at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Arkansas. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10:00a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Arkansas. Interment will be at 12:00p.m. at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the care of Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, Arkansas.
