Gary Fredrick Rice, 70 years old of Port Hope, passed away on May 1, 2022, at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Gary was born on June 5, 1951 to the late John and Loree (Mousseau) Rice. He was a graduate of North Huron High School, and married Sharon Roggenbuck on December 5, 1970 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. Sharon preceded him in death in 2014.
Gary worked for many years as a tree lineman, and in his later years at the Port Austin Harbor, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved watching all sports. Gary and Sharon enjoyed traveling to Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula exploring nature and looking at waterfalls.
Gary is survived by his daughter Jessica Rice; his brothers Ken Rice, Rodney (Monica) Rice and Nelson Rice. He was preceded in death by a son John Rice.
As per Gary’s request, cremation has taken place at Sunset Hills crematory in Flint.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

I remember Gary from North Huron Schools even shared the same birthday . Had not seen him in years . His late wife Sharon and I were dear friends
