Hello, I'm a cousin of Gary's (son of the late Harriet Bryant), and just learned of Gary's death from another of our cousins (Jerry Pokarney of Lethbridge, Alberta). I'm about the same age as Gary, but hadn't seen him since our teen years. I did run into his parents several times when they were snowbirding in Mesa, AZ. To Liz and family, I am so sorry that I could not attend today's reception for Gary. Gary coached with me at South Salem back in 1962-64. What a fine coach and teacher. Through the years he taught and coached he left a lasting impact on the lives of many young people.
I wish to celebrate his life. I know this is the way he would want it.

Gary was one of my teachers at Crescent Valley High in Corvallis. As well as the football coach. Go Raiders!! Your memory will carry on Mr Ritchie.
