Not sure what to say?

Shirley, Im sorry to hear of Garys passing and for your loss. I remember babysitting your kids when you were at BYU one summer and loved and admired your family and the way you parented the girls.

Gary was a good man and you have a great great family.

We have known and loved Gary and Shirley since 1970 when we moved to Cedar City. They were so kind to help us get to know the people here. We teachers at South Elementary like to tease him about not wearing a coat to school. He always walked with in his suit and no overcoat, no matter how cold it was. We were afraid he would freeze those talented fingers of his. Oh, wait...he always wore gloves. We love Gary and Shirley

Mr. Roper was an amazing man! He was the principal all my year of attending Enoch Elementary. I have a little Facebook group about going to Enoch elementary and everyone in the group has mentioned how much they loved him. He touched so many and was a great example of what an educator should be. I am so happy to have known him and send my love and thoughts to his family. He was the best principal I ever had!

Although I only knew Gary for a short time, I grew to love him and Shirley. He will be sorely missed. But with the great plan of salvation we know he is in paradise.

I have fond memories in the 8th ward and as my teacher at South Elementary. Prayers for the Roper family.

Our Mother, Ruth Lamb thought so much of Gary and Shirley, We express our condolences to Shirley and family at this time.

In this difficult time,
May you see God
In the faces of your friends,
Hear hIm in their voices,
Feel them in their touch.

May their help and caring
Reflect his love and kindness,

Gary: You were an amazing principal. I thought the world of you. Your friend, Phil Adams

What a joy it was to work with Gary at South Elementary. He was always a gentleman and such a dedicated teacher and friend. I was truly blessed to be able to teach two of his wonderful children -Marie and Matt. He loved his family, and I do too. May God bless you, Shirley and family, as you carry on without him.
