Thank you for always keeping me smiling and laughing at functions by making fun and joking with all those dumb boys! You were the quietest man in the house but I knew who was always in charge.

Gary Rosenauer was so much more than just a father-in-law to me. From the first day John brought me home, Gary welcomed me with open arms and a loving heart, and became "Dad." He showed me, for the first time, how it felt to to be part of a warm loving family, and what it meant to love unconditionally. So many people say it, but Dad lived it, every day of his life. He never made me feel like just an in-law, I felt like a daughter. I learned something very valuable from Dad; blood may be thicker than water, but love is thicker than blood; and it's love that makes a family. He had a gentle spirit, a quiet strength, was slow to anger, yet fiercely protective of those he loved. Reflecting upon all of the years, both recent and long past, I feel so fortunate to have been a part of his life and his family. Thank you Debbie, Kim, Caren, and John, for sharing your father with me. Anyone who was fortunate enough to know him, knows how deeply Dad touched the lives of those around him, and the enormous void his passing leaves in all of our lives, but not in our hearts, because he lives on there, always.

Grandpa, Thank you for you patience, time and encouragement. I would never have become the man I am without you. You have inspired me to be a greater man. To own my mistakes and to give my heart. You never bothered the world with your problems even though the world bothered you with theirs. Thank you for being you. 20 grand kids and 32 great grand kids. Not too bad for yourself sir...
