Gary W. Ross, 73, of Wind Gap, passed away, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono.  He was the husband of Sheena J. (Harrison) Ross.


Born in Easton, February 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Charles (Dutch) and Eleanor (Tonkin) Ross.


Gary was a 1965 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and was employed as a construction electrician for IBEW, New Jersey.


He enjoyed gardening, football, deep sea fishing and spending time in his garage.  He was a member of Pen Argyl Lodge #502, F&AM.


In addition to his wife Sheena, he is survived by three daughters, Tammy L. Ross of Wind Gap, Renee’ Ross of Stockertown, and Traci L. Counterman of Wind Gap, four grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Maranda Heckman, Chad Rinehart and Jarret Rinehart, two brothers, Fred and Terry Ross and a sister, Sandra Hendershot.


There will be viewing hours, Sunday, September 13, 2020, beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl.  Graveside services will be held, Monday, September 14, 2020, at 1 PM at Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl. Due to present Covid-19 restrictions, a maximum of 25 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time, observing social distancing and mask requirements.  On line condolences may be offered at www.ruggierofuneralhome.com.  Gary’s family request that those attending services dress casually.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

I just googled Gary and this result was so sad. Rip Gary and god bless your family. Every time I made it back to PA and went to Dietz Tavern you we’re always there and as a x sister in law you were always sweet and kind. This news was never expected but you were a good kind man. Heartbreaking
