Gary Dallas Salyers & Jean Ann Salyers

I have to say how ironic (& sad) it is to see this. I had actually googled Gary a couple of months ago, found nothing (had the spelling wrong). Today I found old school pictures from grade school at Bilquist Elementary 78´/80´, he was the principal then. That year my mom took her own life and Gary called me into his office to check on me after. I just remember feeling he was the only one that cared how I was doing and actually saw me and talked me through my grief. I can visibly remember...

I had been trying to find Gary for years, he was my elementary school principal at Linwood in the 80s. I was my favorite person I ever knew in the school system. I used to get in a little bit of trouble and he earned my respect and I always wanted to talk to him again to tell him I still think of him he was so good to me I'm saddened to hear of his passing. I just found out about their passing today, June 21. I knew Gary and Jeannie through PSU Athletics. They were both such great supporters of all the programs and were at all the events until recently when things had to slow down for them. Jeannie would always make me hot pads for Christmas! Two of the kindest, generous people I've known and they will be missed, not just by their immediate family, but their extended family of other PSU supporters. Rest in peace together.
