Gary "Scooter" Varnado, Jr. passed away at OLOL on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 40. Scooter enjoyed fishing, working on boats, cooking and spending time with his family. Scooter is survived by his sons, Gary "Trent" Varnado, III and Aidan Joseph Varnado and their mother, Domenica Marino Varnado; his parents, Cheryl Cheveallier and Gary Varnado, Sr.; siblings, Mystery Hester and husband, Shane, Dakota Lavergne and wife, Michalyn, and Jared Varnado and wife, Jaime; grandparents, Charlie and Martha Ward; fiancée, Shala Vickery and her children, Casey Gros, Madison Gros, and Brooke Vickery; nieces, Averie, Addison, and Emerald; and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 10 a.m. until Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Evergreen Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of OLOL especially the MICU. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a benefit account for Gary Varnado, Jr. at Whitney Bank.

I can still remember staying the night with you growing up most of my teenage years and threw my first marriage.. You was more than a friend you was family. We laughed cryed and so on. I will always remember you.. Ill always miss you. But your in good hands now. I love you scooter rest in piece see you when I reach those gates.

There is a great sadness for your loss. We offer our prayers and support. Remembering that you do not have to bear this grief alone because Jesus "....bore our grief..." Give Him your burdens and sorrows and He will give you His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Thanks fro being a bright light in my life. I was honored to spend some of your childhood doing fun and enjoyable thing. The best times were outdoors. Rest In Peace my sweet boy. Love, Aunt Val ❤
