Gary was an amazing man who shared a great deal with others. The Texas Branch of the International Guild of Knot Tyers will meet in the next few weeks in Dallas in his memory. Please feel free to e-mail me for more details.

Our thoughts and prayers will go out to Gary's Family. He was someone who really made the meetings come alive with his talent and Scouting work. He introduced me to pulling threads in canvas. Possibly a curse. Jane and Jon

Gary was one of the first people I met at my first knot tyers convention in Newport, VA. He showed me his sea chest and knotwork, not to brag, but to share. We both had a Scouting background and talked about that. I soon learned he had an easy way of talking and a joke or story wasn't far away. My wife and I enjoyed our times with Gary and Barb and I will greatly miss not seeing him again. If I know Gary, when I get to Heaven, he'll ask me to sit and show what he's been tying.

Gary was a wonderful man and still lives on in the knots he tied, figuratively and physically, and in the great sea-chests he made with such care and attention to detail. You have tied a knot in our lives Gary, joining us with so many others in memories of you. We will miss your sweet company greatly. Our love to Barbara as always,

I never met Gary, but I knew his name and his fine craft. He left the world a better place than when he got here

The knotting polity expresses it's sympathy to Barbara and family on the loss of Gary. He was a true gentleman and we shall all be the poorer for his passing. He touched so many lives and hearts in his time with us and those who were so gifted will be always enriched for knowing him.
Fair winds, old friend.

Gary and I were friends in scouting for many years in training and other scouting events in addition to being classmates at Sunset High School. He will be missed by all of us who knew him.

I'll miss seeing and hearing Gary working in his wood shop on a pretty day, doors open to invite visits by neighbors. Soar with the eagles, Gary.
