Not sure what to say?

Recently remembering Gary while watching DVDs with Alan and Kirk. Was so saddened to see him go. We had just reconnected around our common love of Puerto Vallarta. I saw us spending much time over tequila there. He is missed.

I am dismayed! I felt a new closeness with Gary after our visit at last year's reunion. My wife Gale and I talked of spending time in Mexico with him and Leticia. Surfing! How perfect! Tim Buchanan

I am sad to hear of Gary's passing.I grew up with Gary and his surfing buddy Dennis Guest in Palo Alto.In the late 1960's Gary,Phil Jones and I were roommates in San Francisco.Gary was a bright, funny, caring person. He will be missed. My heartfelt thoughts go out to his family, including his sister Jeanne.

Please accept the deep condolences of my wife, Lynda, and myself, at this very sad news of Gary's passing. Lynda and I were both Gary's colleagues at UCSC's Merrill College. Gary was unfailingly cheerful; he made numerous, diverse, important contributions to our Merrill College community. He will be greatly missed.

We live in a world where we lose and sometimes win, and knowing Gary and his influence on me was a win of great...
