Not sure what to say?

I just found out about this. My best friend and I used to frequent the West Main Dairy Queen, where we met Gary. What a great guy he was! He invited us to play basketball with him on Sunday mornings. We´d eat at DQ after our softball games. We got to know him and truly enjoyed his friendship, humor, and wit. It´s been decades since those days in the 70´s, but he made an impact on our lives.

Gary and I have known each other since the day he was born. Our parents were lifelong friends, actually like family! Gary & his sister,Gail were my best friends growing up and continued through our adult lives. We were blessed to be part of each other's Wedding Party ! When Gary met his beautiful bride to be, Linda, our lives became extended family! Linda immediately became my best friend as well and my husband and I are honored to have been in their Wedding. Linda and Gary were so much in...

Gary Somerset was a good man. He and I began our terms on the Board of Directors at the Ambassador at the same time, and we elected him President. During that period and beyond I got to know him well. He was straightforward, honest, and thoughtful, cared deeply about our community, and he got big, important things done. I admired his knowledge and his drive. His enthusiasm and cheerfulness were contagious, and never more so than when asked about his children and grandchildren. He would...

Our sincere condolences to all of Gary´s family . He was wonderful man with a big heart . May you Rest In Peace always Sincerely Roger Perno and family

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Gary when I worked at the bank and then would see him at DQ. Always upbeat and had something funny to say.

Our condolences to the Somerset family. Gary was our business neighbor when we operated Mommy & Me for many years across the street from DQ. But our greatest memory is the day Gary told us to go to Cape Coral because houses could be had for 100K! LOL So we did 3 weeks later. Gary helped us recognize our Florida dream. That conversation changed our lives. RIP

Gary ALWAYS had a smile on his face & took time to stop & talk at the Ambassador. We often would be looking out at the gulf & see Gary & Linda enjoying a swim in the beautiful water in Bonita, he will be missed.

I will miss Gary terribly. Gary was a great neighbor working diligently after the devastating storm that hit our homes. I came to know him well during the rebuilding process partnering with him hand in glove striving towards the shared goal of getting the condo owners back to their residences. Sad that he won't see the fruits of his labor. Always smiling, always happy, will always be remembered.

Rest In Peace.

My deepest condolences to wife Linda, his friends and family.

After many years of not seeing my cousin in Connecticut following my having moved to Florida years ago I learned that Gary had purchased a home on my street in Bonita Springs Florida! On my street! God works in mysterious ways. He will certainly be missed but left an outstanding legacy!!!
