SOVA, Gary D. - Of Flint, age 54, died Monday, August 3, 2020.
Cremation has taken place and private services have been held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his daughter, Mei-Lyn for her college fund.
Gary was born in Durand, Michigan on September 14, 1965, the son of the late Robert R. and Betty J. (Fyvie) Sova. On September 5, 1998 he married Karri Simmons and she preceded him in death on October 21, 2014. Gary enjoyed shopping and decorating. He had an eye and love for beauty. Gary took great joy in making everything around him beautiful, especially his daughter.
Surviving are daughter, Mei-Lyn Sova;
Brothers, Tom (Donna) Sova and Mark (Greg) Purzycki-Sova;
Step-brother, Michael Crawley;
And many nieces and nephews,
He was also preceded in death by siblings, Bruce (Patti), Paul, Kathy and Michael.

I am missing him so much at work. His laugh, his smile, our talks. He was so funny and sweet. Always said how proud he was of his daughter and how thoughtful she is. I am truly sorry for your loss. I feel blessed to have met him and got to know him.

Mei-Lyn, I worked with your Dad at Magna. We NEVER knew what he'd come up with to say, next, and when
it came to his clothes.....EVERYTHING had to match!! One thing for certain, he loved you, so very much!! I'm so sorry for your loss.
