Not sure what to say?

Gary was a force of nature. I knew him from summer vacations when my dad, brother to Gary´s mom, brought us to Oregon. He was so fun, so accomplished. He was part of the foundation of my family.

We are so saddened to learn of Gary´s passing. Though we haven´t seen him for many years, there is, never-the-less, a Gary-sized hole in our world. Thank you, Mandy and Morgan, for the beautifully written and truly meaningful tribute to your dad. I don´t remember laughing and crying while reading and obituary, and it does remind me of the one that he wrote for his own mother. We are richer for having him touch our lives.

Mandy & Morgen what a beautiful tribute to your dad!! I laughed & cried while reading ... I will never forget the countless times your dad pulled us out of jams & dropped us off at the stadium at a moments notice to tailgate before the football games & I may not ever walk into Papa´s pizza again without thinking of all the times we went for Pizza & he always insisted on paying ... Big hugs & prayers to you girls & your entire family .... I look forward to celebrating Gary with you !! Rest...

The good don't always die young. Gary lived a full life and had a positive effect on the lives of thousands of others. Those good works will continue for many years to come.

I really can't adequately express how much I admired Gary! The countless hours we spent working on small woodland issues are some of my most treasured memories... It is hard to imagine where NIPF landowners would be today without his dedication and incredible ability to represent our issues.

Morgan, so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing and after reading his obituary I can see why he was such a big influence on your life, it is obvious you have inherited many of his fine traits. Know that we are thinking of you and your family at this sad time.

Biggest hugs and our deepest condolences for your immeasurable loss. Thank you for sharing your Dad with us over the years. He truly was the best and made all the family gatherings so fun. Many bonfires and memories yet to be made as we honor him in spirit.
