We were freshman roommates at KU and as sophomores with two friends in an apartment. I have nothing but great memories of the time I was around Gary. I am sad, but I celebrate the good life that I know he lived. Gary had a wealth of common sense which I lacked, and I learned from him. Sure, we had some really good times in those days, but Gary was also serious minded and we could talk about thinkg that other guys wouldn't back then.
